Dr. Murray Blackmore

Plenary Speaker:
Murray Blackmore, PhD, assistant professor, Marquette University, received his undergraduate degree from Stanford University.  He received his graduate degree in neuroscience from the University of Minnesota, followed by postdoctoral training at the Miami Project to Cure Paralysis.  Since 2011, Dr. Blackmore has led a research lab at Marquette University devoted to developing new approaches to address spinal cord injury. His lab performs basic science that harnesses high content screening technology and gene therapy vectors in animal models, with the goal of discovering new genetic interventions to boost the intrinsic reparative ability of cells in the nervous system.
